My Background
- Born, raised, and currently residing in Queens, NY
- Currently working as a UI Engineer in promotional media at Netflix and loving it here
- Previous experience includes: Front End Senior TypeScript Engineer at Bloomberg, Full Stack engineer at META, and Lead Technical Trainer at a coding bootcamp teaching web development with Java Spring backend and Angular front end
- I served as the Director of Social Engagement for Techsgiving for years and started a talk show called Tech Talk Tuesdays which helped take an already impactful organization to new eights
- I love public speaking and it really took off in 2022 when I was a speaker for RenderATL and at the META Women in Engineering Conference
- Oracle Certified Java 8 Associate
- I graduated from Duke in 2016 with a BS in Computer Science, Minor in Philosophy
- I've been an Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Soror since 2013
- I went to the fantastic Bronx High School of Science, along with the new mayor of NYC!
My Hobbies & Favorite Things
- All things food, wine, romance, Black culture, and family
- Trying new recipes and perfecting old ones. Considering starting a dinner party series but I'll update you all once I get my food handler's license
- Binge tv watching (self proclaimed tv and movie buff)
- Finding new ways to fall in love with NYC
- Vacationing as often as possible
- Anything that makes me laugh, especially with friends
- One Piece. Food Wars. HunterxHunter. As a new-ish anime lover finally caught up in my One Piece journey, I couldn't be more in love with the Straw Hats
- Leaning more Into fashion, fitness, and skincare. When you look good, you feel good!
